Public funding alone can’t sustain the arts. Private money alone won’t serve the community.

We work in both.

Colored Colors produces free public arts programming across New York City and Long Island — bringing municipal, state, and corporate partners together behind events that pay artists and fill Main Streets.

Who we work with

Business improvement districts and parks departments. Municipalities and state arts funders. National brands that want a real connection to a community rather than a logo on a banner.

A New York City business district trusted us with its entire year

The Hudson Yards/Hell's Kitchen Alliance doesn't hire us for an event. They hire us for a calendar — Spring Fling in the spring, Goodbye Summer in September, and Holidays at the Park in winter, all in Bella Abzug Park, all free, all in partnership with NYC Parks.

Spring Fling alone reaches its sixth year in 2026 and now runs across five dates and two areas of the park.

That's what we do: not a one-off activation, but year-round programming a community can count on.

Built by an artist, for artists

Colored Colors was founded in 2019 by José Tutiven, an Ecuadorian-born painter who kept running into the same wall — there was no room for artists like him. So he built one.
