Rotating artist exhibitions inside one of Long Island’s most decorated restaurants, in Downtown Farmingdale. Three artists a year, quarterly rotations, work for sale — curated, hung, and opened by Colored Colors.

The Spectacular Holiday Markets in Huntington Village and Holidays at the Park in Hudson Yards — vendor applications open each fall.

Ready to bring back
Each of these built its own following. They're paused, not finished — tested formats a venue, business district, or sponsor can bring back to their community.

The Writers' Exchange
A juried program for Long Island authors. Selected writers met their readers at a Meet the Authors night — a way to connect with the community and grow an audience. Applications were free.
Six authors selected for the first round by juror Jessica Payes, a spoken word artist and author.

Second Sundays
A monthly makers’ market in Farmingdale built around accessibility — low vendor fees, a supportive crowd, and a first stage for creative entrepreneurs who were just getting started.
Vendor fees were $30 for the entire summer series.

Poets Meet Musicians
A live series that put poets and musicians in one room — a songwriter competition and poetry slam where the audience served as the judges.
Reached its fourth year, hosted at Lithology Brewing Co.

Pa La Cultura
A month-long celebration of Hispanic heritage, art, and community, September 15 to October 15, with the Art League of Long Island. Art, music, and storytelling that amplified Latino creatives on Long Island. Supported by the Suffolk County Office of Cultural Affairs.
Programming included Cafecito, a solo photography exhibition by Julian Bracero; a free Hispanic Heritage Arts Festival; and a Latin Night celebrating different genres of Latino music.
We don't just visit a downtown. We stay.
The Art Crawl brought artists and foot traffic onto Farmingdale's Main Street for six years. But a festival is one day a year — so we stayed: rotating exhibitions at 317 Main Street and The Artist Tree keep local work in front of people the other 364 days.
That's the model: an anchor event that draws people in, and year-round programming that gives them a reason to come back.
